Ok... Ive been searching around for a while but cant find anything on this. I have an HP Deskjet 3820 USB, trying to install it in win98. I had it installed in win2k and worked fine. Win2k automatically created a virtual USB printer port. Win98 wont do it automatically but im sure its something similar. How can I install this USB printer in win98?!?
When I installed an Epson Stylus Colour 740 with USB on a Win98 box Epson had but special USB drivers on the CD to make it work... maybe HP got something similair.
My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on

Main thing is to install the drivers first in Win98 and not connect the printer until the installation says to. If you did hardware first you may have to remove some unknown device entries from the Device Manager.
