Asus G2S-A1 graphics failure

[O Bloody Hell]

Looking for info about this model and how to go about replacing the graphics card.

A) is it a mobo replacement, or a separate unit?
B) Is there a source for either of those which is needed?
C) Anyone able to point me to a service manual for the Asus G2S-A1?

with laptops its almost always a motherboard replacement. Though with yours it looks like it might be an add in card. I cant find any on ebay (at least the A1 version.. did find this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Asus-G2SV-G2S-G2SG-Motherboard-Repair-3-month-warranty-/140560357144?pt=Motherboards&hash=item20ba0cd718 but I dont think it's the right one) and the asus website links me to a blank page when I click on specs so no joy there. Your best bet is to see if you can find a used one and cannibalize it.

Also have you tried using the video out and plugging it into a monitor? the only things I keep seeing for this laptop are replacement screens.
