Network Authentication Problems

Hello,
I'm having trouble connecting to a specific network. My Gateway laptop will not connect to a specific network. It will connect other networks without a problem but on this specific network, it will not authenticate. I'm doing this because my original network has a low range and its in a factory which creates quite a bit of interference. I cannot move my original networks router that I can connect to and am trying to use my neighbors signal (with his permission) instead. I have the password it begins to connect and even has the IP address, it simply wont authenticate that specific network. any suggestions

Maybe it shows a network strength which it finds to be inadequate on trying to connect. How is the factory constructed, how far away is the router and what metallic obstacles are in between?
