Looking at putting together a new computer for my mom
I would like to give AMD my money
she runs basic web and some skype
I was wondering the differences between the Phenom vs A series vs FX
and the intended uses for each

FX - Intended use landfill
A series - HTPC and light usage
Phenom II - More serious stuff than a series

I would wait for the Trinity desktop APUs to come out in August. They will cover anything and everything that a basic user could throw at a computer.

If you want to save a buck, go Llano. It should suffice all the same, but there is no upgrade option.
