I'm considering getting the NEC 1760V cause it seems that most of the feedback is great and it's a reasonable price ($415 including shipping).

Question: My concern is game playing. Has anyone tried this LCD with a dark game like Thief or Splinter Cell? I've heard that this monitor has problems with displaying subtile differences in really dark or really bright colors.

Right now I think that 1760V appears to be my best choice (base on Tom's reiview and PC magazine, altough PC mag said it was not as good as Samsung 171N which Tom said the opposite) Any other suggestions?
