Does anyone know the details of the power management loss you are
experiencing?

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for

Hi,

If hibernation stopped working, you might want to look out for updated drivers for your video card and other
peripherals. Often, Windows disables the hibernate option when one or more of the device drivers do not support the
hibernate state.

Doubtful.

Where is the information about what type of system they have, if they have
checked for driver updates(video, etc), if they can manually put it into
hibernate and it works or not, if it works if they uninstall SP2, if they
checked with their manufacturer (which the people here could have done if it
was mentioned), etc?
