Hyper 212+ Help!

Hey guys, I just got all of my components today so I'm sitting down to put it all together. I'm running an i5 2500k on an Asrock z68 x3 gen3. So I have the cpu in the mobo and now I'm attempting to get the backplate for the 212 on there and I don't know if it's just me but the screws are WAY too short to reach the backplate. I am making a noob mistake or something. Please throw me a bone here lol.

I'm pretty sure the Hyper 212+ comes with multiple plates. Be sure to look though the manual to make sure you are using the correct one for and intel setup.

The Hyper 212+, on paper, supports the intel 775 1366 and 1156 sockets. It also supports the intel 1155 socket, follow the instructions for the 1156 socket.

Ummm except the 2500k is a socket 1155 cpu.....

I just figured it out. If you flip the plate around there's insulating tape on the little feet too, that's the intel setup. I just didn't see the tape the first 27 times I looked at it lol. Thanks jrwizbang.

Ummm except the 2500k is a socket 1155 cpu.....

Like I said, it supports the intel 1155 socket, it's just not written on the instructions that it is supported.

For the intel 1155 socket installation, follow the instructions for the 1156.
