Hello! I have just recieved all of my parts for my new build! I do have a question about cooling on this rig and if it will be an issue? Here is what I have purchased!
-Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
-SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
-ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM
- G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL
- Acer S201HLbd Black 20" 5ms LED-Backlight LCD monitorSeagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500413AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
-Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM
- Xigmatek ASGARD II B/B CPC-T45UC-U01 Black / Black 0.8 mm SECC / Aluminum and Aluminum Mesh Bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
-Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
-Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz (3.4GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 BX80623I52400

The casr that I got has an option for 4 different 120mm fans. 1 in the rear, two on the side, and one in the front. The one in the front is the issue. A 120mm wil not fit nor will any 25mm width fan. I was thinking about puting in a 80mm thin fan with a filter, but I dont think it will breath well. What are my options? Is it okay not to have a fan up front? and have only esaust fans?

Looking at the case details it says:

Room for 4 fans with 1 installed and then it says:

Preinstalled 120mm front fan

1 x 120mm rear fan

Obviously they are incorrect. So, if yours has a rear fan then it should take a 120mm in front but looking at the pictures I don't see anyplace for a front fan. If the pictures are just poor and there is a grill then the front face must pop off so you could add a 120mm.

As for how many fans remember that your psu will pull air from the case and send it out so don't compete with that. Don;t use a fan near the cpu cooler that pulls away or interfer's their either. In general I like a fan at the front of the case, one at the read + the psu. Maybe one on top if the air flow isn't good enough without one.
