Does it take the same amount of gpu power to run 1920x1080 on a 24in display as a 40in display at the same resolution?

Questions been bugging me forever!

Solution
Screen size does not metter, GPU will work same 24 or 40, as long as they both same resolution!!
its all about resolution 800x600 is easier for gpu to render then 1920x1080 for example

There are the same number of pixels (dots) regardless of the physical size -the pixels are just bigger. A 1920 x 1200 requires more GPU power than a 1080 display. do the math 19200 x 1080 vs 1920 x 1200. The bigger the result - the harder the GPU has to work. Now throw in fps and you can see why on larger resolutions it is harder to get higher fps - it has to process more pixels.
