Help! Computer keeps on freezing when playing games.

I have recently built a computer specifically to play games. I have had this for a couple monthes now and ever since I have gotten it, it has been freezing regularly. It would usually freeze when I have multiple things open at once, or when I'm playing games. This computer has been pretty good, but it is just the freeze that has been frustrating.

More about help computer freezing playing games
  1. Do you have the latest SSD firmware installed?
  2. And have you run memtest on your ram http://www.memtest86.com/download.html
  3. if its freezing up and causing a reebot, instead of just freezing momentarily, i would also check temperatures (if you havent already) to make sure that isnt the cause. Also note if you have/have not overclocked.
  4. Test the RAM 1 stick at a time with MemTest86+ (with the +) Let it get through at least 6 or 7 passes each.
