Looking to upgrade my system/build new system for video editing

So I built myself a pretty high-end machine about 2 years ago. And its done everything I've needed, but now I am starting to get into video editing and its just to slow...SO I'm either looking to build a new one or upgrade.

Current specs:

i7 960 3.2Ghz
6GB RAM (OCz)
2 Samsung F3 1T HDD's
ASUS mobo (honestly don't remember the model number)
corsair 850W power supply
Radeon 5870 1Gb graphics card
Cooler master V8 (cpu cooler)



Now if I upgrade to do alot of video editing, I'm thinking more ram will be the key, SO what do you all think of Kingston?

Anyways if I end up, upgrading the whole system, my budget will be around $2,500.. So let me know what ya'll think.

The software I have been using for editing is Adobe Effects Cs5, and all of it is HD editing. Thanks!

I think a whole system upgrade is marginal.
Yes the newer systems will be faster , but maybe not that much faster to justify spending the $2500 .

I would use RAM with lower heat spreaders , and add an after market CPU cooler , and then start overclocking .

And besides the speed issue, the other main reason I would look at upgrading is so I can add a 3rd monitor.
