Looking to build a gaming rig on a budget

So basically I'm looking into building a gaming rig with a budget of $1200 ... any suggestions would be great. Also It'll mainly be used for BF3 (max out settings) and some programming.

I'm in the USA
Online sites for parts I usually do my shopping at Newegg/Tiger Direct. Any other site suggestions are fine.

I don't need a monitor or speakers. I plan to play BF3 on 1080p I forgot to mention. Thanks.

  3. Good luck trying to max out BF3. with a single 570. I have 2 5870's and Ultra @1080p 64 player maps drops my fps into the 30's

Edit: When there is lots of actions and/or smoke. I can maintain 50+ usually away from the action
  4. Hi :)

As said above (good advice) you are NOT going to max bf3 with a single card, unless you wait for the 7990....which I seem to remember will cost around $900 (on its own)

    All the best Brett :)

Strange i have a Single GTX580 running a RES of 2560 x 1440, and my 64 player maps never drop below 40fps with everything set to max ?
  6. I'm willing to spend more as long as i can max the game out. What do you guys recommend?
  7. if you go with my system but buy a gtx580 or the ati 7970 that will max out bf3 easily at 1080p
