Constant disconnecting

i have a belkin n+ wireless router and the thing disconnects constantly with latest firmware. honestly i have nothing to base this off of but i believe the firmware is at fault. i was wondering if i could use tomato on this router or if there is something else i should try.

DD-WRT is almost the same and has a Database where you can look up if it can be converted
