Would my 450 watt PSU be enough for a Radeon HD 6870

Hi, I am thinking about upgrading from my current GTS 450 to a Radeon HD 6870 the problem is that I have a 450 watt PSU and the recommended is 500 watts. My question is that with this setup, AMD Phenom II 970, 8gb DDR3 G.skill Sniper RAM, M4A88T-M, motherboard would I be able to use the 6870? Thanks!
