Reinstalling widows : is it possible to save my configurations ?

i'm buying a new system, so i will have to make a fresh install of windows.

I spent many hours customizing windows and editing settings... I was wondering if it would be possible to save those preferences and restore it to my new win7 installation ?

For example, i made a custom theme for windows 7, i know i can save and export it, then import it on the new windows7 installation. But what about other settings ? Like everything in the control panel
