My GPU temp just skyrocketed in Idle

I just got done playing bf3 and my screen flashes.My blue border around windows is now light blue.I hear my fan speed change.I use Trixx so I take a look at it.My GPU IN IDLE hit 89c just of what i saw!?!WTH???.SO I have to turn my fans all the way up to keep it from overheating.The once again randomly in Idle my screen flashes and my temps go back to normal.And I notice my Regular blue border is back.What in tarnation would cause this?


I run a Sabertooth 990FX,Win 7 OS,8GB 1333,Athlon ii x4 645,XFX 750 PSU,Power Color OC CoD Edition.Have a HAF 932 Advanced

Run OCCT's GPU test and monitor GFX temp and voltages....utility will graph the results.

its working fine now.So will this tell us somethign we dont know if it doesnt do it again?
