No im building my own rig and ive purchased the ASUS m5a88-m mobo, and an atx dragon rider case so far that is all lol. Right now im using an amd athlon 2x2 p320 2.1 ghz lol. So just so everyone knows im not dead set for the best cpu or components. In fact im pretty sure i want to go with the FX 2600, its stock 3.8ghz with a stock oc of like 4.1-4.2ghz or something and six cores. wich will be way more than i need.

Clock speed and cores aren't everything. The Phenom II X4 and X6's will be MUCH better choices.

Grab a 955BE, 965BE, or a phenom ii X6.

Is this for gaming?

Or for something that can put six cores to good use?

For gaming the FX-6200 isn't a terrible choice. But there are better options.

Most of the experts would go with amuffin's Phenom II recommendation.

The games i want to play at max setting would be diablo 3, the mass effect series, maybe a little battlefield, and the secret world. these are what my system was going to be made up of.
1.ASUS M5A88-M AM3+ AMD 880G Micro ATX
2.IN WIN Dragon Rider ATX Full Tower Case
3.Western Digital Velociraptor 300Gb 10,000 RPM 32mb Cache 6.0gb/s
4.Avexir 4x4gb 240 pin DDR3SDRAM 2000 PC3 16000
5.AMD FX Zambezi 6200
6.LG Black Blue Ray Combo
7.EVGA GeForce GTX 550 ti (fermi) 1gb 192-bit PCI-Express2.0
8.Corsair Professional series hx750 750watt psu
9.Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit OEM

Will these not work?

Everything is compatible.
BF3 is probably the one game that will stuggle at Max graphics settings at 1920x1080 resolution.

How much is that 300GB Velociraptor?
16GB isn't needed for a gaming build.
And that system only needs a 550W PSU.

150.00$ For the HDD.
And isnt it true that the longer i leave my pc on running and closing different programs and tasks the more RAM it uses? Forcing me to turn off the pc to wipe the ram clean for a fesh start? i realize that i may not need that much i just think its better to have and not need than to need and not have :-P. however this is my first build so i do highly welcome your comments and suggestions. And i thought id go with the 750 watt psu incase i ever wanted to add extra led lights, hdds, burners, and Graphics cards.

150?

That's way too much!

For $90 you can get a 1tb seagate barracuda!

8gb of ram will be what you want to get, and a quality 650W will be a better option.

I recommend the Corsair TX650WV2!

Now, you should have enough to get a gtx 560ti or radeon 7850!

Best solution

Win7 isn't like that. It's actually quite good at managing RAM.
8GB is plenty.

Moving up to a better graphics card will have the most impact on having a good gaming experience.
What resolution is your monitor?

Try to get a better GPU I used a 550ti for a while this year it won't max BF3 it'll do a mix of high and medium with no AA at reasonable FPS

Like WR2 said 8GB RAM

Then get a cheaper HDD no point having a great fast HDD and a entry GPU better to then put the cash to the GPU and have things look good.

So your saying the gtx 560ti will get me by with anything?

As Muffin said according to that review there is no point in go any faster than 1600 MHz. Really for gaming you would be better off with a Phenom II Black Edition CPU.

After all of the changes you've made, you should have about $100-150 saved. Put that toward a gpu, you should be able to buy a gtx 560ti or radeon 7850!

I built an amd fx 6200 with a gigabyte 990 fx-ud3 and maybe Im missing something but I used ddr3 1333 Gskill ripjaw and set it up xmp and my wei rating for the memory is 7.9(maxed out)... the memory bus for that motherboard only goes to 2600mhz so 1333 is all it takes in dual channel to hit 2600 mhz. The only thing you can do above that is work the timings to lower the cas latency, or lower the wattage to use less power, its like squeezing a slice of orange peel for the last drop of orange juice. My point is this... your amd fx 6200 is a gamer on a budget cpu, if your looking for maxed out gaming rig you might want to rethink the budget for your current rig and go for a better video card...or add a second video card...but I wouldn't bother with squeezing an orange peel.... My rig:
WEI
amd fx 6200 4.0\4.3 turbo 7.5
coolermaster 212 evo cooling solution
gigabyte 990 fx-ud3
16 gig gskill ddr3 1333 7.9
Powercolor amd radeon 6950 875\1250mhz 7.9 on both graphics scores
antec 1100 case w\2 extra fans
corsair GS 800 psu
LG blueray burner
liteon dvd burner
western digital 1tb hard drive 5.9 (only affects load times)
