Need a new psu, help Tags: Power Supplies Components Last response: June 3, 2012 9:01 PM in Components Share harryprs June 3, 2012 7:19:44 PM Hello, I'm in need of a new psu due to my current ones fan dying and not supplying enough power to my computer as I'd like. I'm pretty much hopeless with selecting a psu, but I picked 2 that I think may work but I can't make sense of most of the specs. My computer specs are: * AMD Athlon II X4 630 Quad Core Processor AM3 (2.8GHz) * Microsoft® Windows® 7 Home Premium pre-installed * Stylish Mini-Tower uATX Chassis with 300W PSU - Piano Black * ASUS M4A78LT-M LE Mainboard (DDR3), with integrated DVI/VGA Graphics - MATX * 4GB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM - (2x2GB) * 500GB Serial ATA Hard Drive with 16MB Buffer * 22x Dual Layer DVD Writer Super Format +R/-R/RW/RAM * 1gb GIGABYTE NVIDIA geforce gt440 DDR3 * 7.1 High Definition onboard sound 8 Channel Cinema sound I'm considering to buy either http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/powersupp... This psu has the same dimensions as my current psu. Or, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA... Will either of these work effectively with my system or do you have any better suggestions? Thanks for any help, appreciated!
