His 6950 iceQ x turbo bios, help

Hi, I wanted to know, you think you can flash the bios of this card http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-613.shtml
In this other card http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-611.shtml
can be done or not?
the difference is that my card has the GPU core at 840Mhz and the other is a 880MHz
if you think I have a brick?

Overclock your card to 880mhz then test for stability.
If stable then the flash to the other card is pointless.

to have the card to 880MHz without any additional software

it is a much more risky thing than just installing msi afterburner and moving a slider a bit, you could destroy youre card, which afterburner wont do

If you modify the existing bios to unlock the shaders, then use MSI afterburner to overclock it, it is very possible, if not highly likely. I've seen a number of people with that card be successful. DO NOT FLASH a 6970 bios on the card, but you can still unlock the shaders.

Any advise on why I can't get past step 13? I followed all the steps and when I hit enter on step 13 the loading bar for the bios goes about halfway and then just dissapears


also did it in ms-dos
reboot and still have the 1408
my card will not have the shader?

Its exactly the same: (not sure if its supposed to be)

When I boot from usb and use atiflash to flash the stock bios to the modded.bin everything is the same:


(Every line is old, then next line is new, IE:

All the info on the bios will be the same except the shader count provided the shaders can be unlocked. You aren't changing the bios version or anything, you are modifying an existing bios.

If you run the the bios through the modder, and does modify it, then the only problem is your card cannot unlock. Sorry.
