Hello,

I don't know if this is in the right section, but I guess it is.

I've had some problems with my computer turning on but it's not working. I press the power button, wait till it's supposed to have 1 beep for 1 second like normal, then it boots up.

But ever since a while ago I turn it on, I look at the CD drive and it lights up and reads it, nothing after that. Fans run, no OS. Black screen.

I have fixed this problem by unplugging the power supply on my computer and plugging it back in. Not working this time.

Thanks,
Michael

It is either PSU or motherboard. That is if you are describing this correctly if you are meaning no signal on monitor we can put the GPU in as possibility.
It is though a sign of PSU failing if the power button does not react instantly to being pressed that is has to be held in or pressed multiple times.

Glad you mentioned the PSU and the power button, it is completely normal, no holding down required. So that rules it to motherboard if you're leading me in the right path. Thank you.
