DxDiag saying my 1GB 6870 is 743MB?

Hi guys, I have been wondering why DxDiag and Can You Run It says that my 1GB Radeon 6870 has 743MB of memory? When I use other programs to see how much memory it has (MSINFO32, CCC) they correctly show my 1GB card as 1GB. I'm wondering if this is just a problem with Windows or an actual problem with my card?

Is your system 64 bit?

Yeah it is. Windows 7 Home Premium.
