A couple of years ago, I got a free cD from Canon, EOS Digital Workflow Guide. It is
diredcted at users of their EOS cameras, but the advice is applicable to other cameras as
well. The advice seems ot be scattered in the page at http://www.photoworkshop.com/,
especially in their Digital learning center, http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon/index.html.

You will find these series of free on-line tutorials on (digital)
photography explained in a gentle pace assuming you know little about
photography to begin with. They are all well written (easy to understand),
up-to-date, and comprehensive. I'd suggest you work your way through down
the page in their numerical sequence starting on Short Course No.2, even you
already have bought your camera.

Have a look at the Sony site.......it had two types of courses one all
in print the other some kind of instructor actually giving a course
thats interactive and live. I didn't have a long time to look at it
but its worth a look I would think. I'm a total newbie just bought my
first camera today.
