Sapphire HD 6950 Bios Switch

Hello all,

Sorry if this has been posted before,

i have just read that the Sapphire HD 6950 2gb dirt 3 card's shaders can be unlocked by just moving the BIOS switch to the right. I have done this and the shader count has increased and RBE does say that the Shaders are 6970. My question is how safe is this ?

do i need to increase the voltage or anything like that, im new to pcs and would hate to blow my card or somthing like that.
