Hi,

I'm looking for a case good quality budget case with a price range of under 50$ (before tax) in Canada.

I've stopped on these 2 cases, the Antec ONE [44.56$] and the Thermaltake Commander [44.55$] cases. Both have usb 3.0 and accept long video cards (I will be purchasing a Radeon 6850 or MAYBE a 7850). They both accept large video cards, even the ASUS Radeon 7850 (which is longer than the other 7850 since it has the same heatsink/fans as the 7870 from what I read).

As I am not an expert in cases, could you help me choose one? If you have any other idea than those 2 cases, I'm open to suggestions. I would like to keep it under 50$ though. (I don't mind where I buy it from as I will use price match from NCIX)

Here is the other components of my future rig if it can help:

Mobo: MSI Z77A-G43
CPU: i7 3770
GPU: Radeon 6850
RAM: 16gb crucial ballistix sport (4x4gb)
Psu: XFX 650w 80 plus bronze

What are you doing with the computer that requires 16GB memory and a i7 3770K processor? If you got a i5 3570K you could save about $80 and cut the memory down to 8Gb to save another $30-$40. Then you would have enough to spend on a really nice case.

Both 550 and 650 are 69.99$ at NCIX which are the lowest price I've found in Canada.

Just i7 3770, not 3770k. I will be doing video editing, hence the huge amount of RAM. I don't mind about the case look really, as long as it's a good case with good ventilation and that my components will fit into it.

i have the antec one case with a z77 sabertooth mb and 560ti ib 05-3450 the fans are 120mm and there almost silent. i do recomed that you use an after market cpu cooler. the intel stock fans...are meh..the only issue is that as a small case you have to remve the two 120mm fan then install the mb and power supply then put them back last. the only other thing is you need some extender cables for the case fans if you want them to be controlled by the mb. i have my running 100 percent off the power supply. my temps are 30c idle and 52 running prime 95 with an after market air cooler. (not overclocked).

The Antec One will suite your needs perfectly.

But like above, i would recommend you use an aftermarket cooler.....

Thank you for the explanation. I will consider the Antec 302 depending on the rebates and sales at the end of the month (when I'll be buying my rig). As for the actual building it's not a problem to me as I'm paying NCIX to build it for me.
