New Egg have done a fantastic 3-part series on selecting components, building the system and installing all of the software and drivers.

Part 2 is the actual building of the system.

I think you can read that on magazine like CPU power user or the other magazane about hardware configurations..
Or ask your friend that usually make a computer configurations to make a better configurations based on your need and your budget..
