Will ATI radeon 6670 hd work on a 500W PSU ?

Hello guys ,
I am planning to buy a radeon 6670 HD . My PSU is a 500W supplier . But is that necessary for 6670 hd ? I had bought 9800gt earlier and it didn't work . And I Have 16amps and 15 amps in two 12V rail . Please tell me whether 6670 work on my PC . Other system hardware are :-
Motherboard :- Asus p5gc-mx/1333
Ram :- 3 gb ddr2
monitor :- 1280x720
processor :- Intel core 2 duo E7500@ 2.93 Ghz .
Please tell me whether 6670 work on my 500 W PSU .
Please reply as soon as possible because I am in a hurry to buy it .

Yes it would work on that psu but so would 9800GT if everything is as it should be!

But 9800 gt didn't work because it had only a 4 pin molex to a single 6 pin connector .
Anyway how much amps the 6670 hd need ?

It does not have a power connector but gets all it power from the slot which is limited to 75watts! 6.3amps
I have a8800GT running on a single molex to 6pin PCIe power so that was not the reason for your card not to work!
