Internet Explorer Muck up

When I am Connected to my Wifi My internet doesn't work, I have to disable my LAN adapter even though it isnt connected to be able to browse the web, Anybody have an idea as to why this might be? It's A Hp Probook

  1. Frankly, if you're only using wifi w/ the laptop anyway, the LAN adapter might as well be disabled.

    Anyway, your LAN adapter probably has higher priority than the wireless adapter. Go to Network Connections (type "ncpa.cpl" (no quotes) from any command prompt and hit enter), hit Alt (to bring up the menu bar), and select Advanced->Advanced Settings->Connections, and reorder your network adapters appropriately (in this case, place wireless above wired). Save the changes and reboot.
