Heatsink in the new build

hello all,

i'm currently building a new rig that will already has a amd 960ti cpu and the msi 880 e45 motherboard. i was just able to unlock the cpu to a six core, and since then, the cpu reached temperatures of over 60C with out the case. I was wondering if I could fit the cooler master hyper 212 heatsink in my nzxt source 210 case. i looked at the measurements, but it seems as if the heatsink will be fine with barely any more space allowed.

so the bottom line: will a cooler master 212 fit into a nzxt source 210 case with amd 960ti on msi 880e45

Maybe. Your case specs (Detail tab, then at the bottom of the page) shows it has 160mm clearance for the cpu/hsf and the 212 looks like its base is less than 40mm. It WILL be a close fit. Do NOT cut the heatpipe ends if you cannot close the side panel - measure the location of the opening needed on the side panel, remeasure and verify the planned cut, then use a Dremel to cut a rectangle in the side panel.
