hi,
I'm having this problem for 2 months. my pc would get GSOD when I am playing games.but this problem is random.sometimes it happens after 5-10 minutes of gaming, sometimes after 4-5 hours. When i googled about the problem I found out many things can cause this problem (PSU,GPU,CPU,RAM).
As I got this problem after buying a new rig(except HDDs and PSU,they are old),I ran individual stress test to test different parts.
I ran msi kombustor for gpu,prime95 for cpu, memtest for ram. but there was no problem.then finally,my friend suggested it might be my PSU.
so, I ran OCCT psu test for an hour and my psu handled it smoothly.everything was at 100% use and GPU and CPU temp were ok.
after that I ran Skyrim and after 30 minutes later I got GSOD again.
My PC would also crash even I am playing pretty old games like blazing angels 2 or far cry 2.
My Rig
CPU: athlon IIx4 640 3.00GHZ(new)
RAM:4GB(new)
GPU: sapphire radeon hd 6770(new)
MOBO: msi 760gm-p33(new)
PSU: thermaltake TR2 500w(max power 450W, peak power 500w)
HDD : sata 7200 rpm x2

so, what is wrong with my PC.Is it a problem with my GPU or something else is responsible. Is my psu enough for the rig?

thanks for your response guyz.
I already have the latest driver Installed.
Can my hard drives be the culprit cuz those are the only things I haven't check or put through any stress test.I know possibility are low for them but is there a software I can use to test them.
