PSU CORSAIR|600W CMPSU-600CXV2 R
sapphire 6870

the case came already and everything else is coming monday but i do have some minor questions and these might seem like stupid questions but this is my first build and im only 14

1. is it safe to build on carpet like me standing on carpet and building the pc on a table if i cant the only other choice is outside in my back yard on a table

2. should top fans be blowing in air or blowing air out

3. is there a such thing as putting a fan where the 5.25 bays because i will be having 3 open and will only be using one

4.do side fans go inside or outside the case ( i know that sounds stupid but i just want to know

5. on pc can you have a mic to only hear people and talk to them and play the game sounds through the speakers like xbox

6.is it true that if you touch the non painted parts of your case you can touch your pc parts with out damging them

7. if so can you tell me which parts of my case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... is not painted because i wont be using a anti static wristband

so thanks for any replys your answers will help me alot

That is a lot of reading i know but well worth it. Can you not move the table to a place in the house where there is no carpet? A lot use a static strap to keep themselves grounded while building to prevent static (i also know a few that do it nude to prevent static as well lol). Building it on a rug would definitely be a risk of static. I would try to cut down the risk as much as possible and thats the best advice i can give you.

Basic rule for fans:
Front and side are intake, and
Top and rear are exhaust.

OTOH, I have 3 Antec 900 cases and adding a side fan - either way- decreases cooling capacity in one case and doesn't help at all in the other two.

I suggest you try all three possibilites and use whichever gives you the best temps.

A good thing to look at before you start building:
