Hey guys I gave my brother my amazing 6870 Video card since his was a 4xxx low series. I am looking to buy another one for me, but not quite in the 200$ range.

Here is a 5870 Reference I found for $140. I mean $165-$140 isn't that big of a difference so price doesn't really matter in that area I am considering a card that will last me 2-4 years from now and the quality such as average benchmarks etc. I just want your "DEAD FLAT OPINION" do not link me to benchmarks or anything. COOLING MATTERS TOO. WARRANTY I must have a good warranty and the 5870 is only a 90 day :|

I don't like to over clock. Thats important.
I am leaning toward the HIS 6870 either one of those.

Solution
The HD 5870 has more raw performance power, but the HD 6870 has an improved support for tessellation in DX 11.

I would go with the HD 6870 especially since the HD 5870 only comes with a 90 day warranty.

HD 5870 will most likely run hotter, and uses more power.

On the upside, a HD 6870 performs closer to a HD 5850 while a HD 5870 performs closer to a HD 6950.

Unless you NEED to keep the temperatures low, i would get the HD 5870, though it only has a 90 day warranty, it's your choice.
