I installed a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 gamer sound card and connected the cd-rom to cd-in, 2nd cd to the aux input, and the modem (modem blaster) to the TAD connector. Everything is working ok, however, anytime I switch to the aux cd or to the modem/phone answering machine I need to go to Sound Blaster volume control to unmute the device I selected to hear the audio. Unmuting one device automatitally mutes the other two. Is there any way to unmute all at the same time and keep it unmuted so I don't need to go and manully unmute each and every time I switch devices? Or, if you can not have all unmuted at the same time, can the Sound Blaster card detect which device is being used and automatically unmute? I thought of splicing the two cd drive audio connectors together and connecting to the cd-in connector of the Sound Blaster card. That way I would only have to unmute when I switch between TAD and cd-in. Can the modem be spliced to the cd-in so all will work without manually unmuting? Am I missing something in the setup of the Card? Thanks!!!!
