Hyper 212 EVO installation help

Ugh, trying to get through my first build and I'm having another issue.

Trying to mount the backplate for the hyper 212 EVO to a LGA 1155 and it seems impossible. How do I safely get the backplate on? From the side, or do I flip the mobo upside down? Every way seems awkward.

I just sat my mobo on its edge (the bottom, where the FP connectors are) so I could get to both the top and bottom at the same time. It was actually very easy for me doing it that way. Got the whole thing installed in less than 10 minutes.

Thanks, I'm just very very paranoid about touching the mobo too much

I'm using a wrist strap and touching the side of my case frequently but I'm still very paranoid

As long as you use the wrist strap, you'll be fine. Honestly, unless you're truly careless and it's very dry in your house, static shocks won't even be an issue. I've personally never (throughout many builds) killed anything with a static shock.

When I installed mine I had the MOBO already in the case and my care has an opening on the back of the MOBO. Its very easy to install while in a case.

Touch the metal part of the case before u will touch the mobo, it will discharge the static electricity and that is all u need...

Do it every time, so it will become your hobbit : )
