New Build think of Crossfire

Hello,
Recently built my first system with the help of this forum and I am hoping this section can help me out once again. I am considering crossfiring sapphire radeon 6770s. My questions are is sapphire a good brand and is Antec Green Efficient 500w PSU enough my system specs should be under "More Information" under my name. Thanks ahead of time

I wouldn't consider crossfire until you upgrade the mobo to one that is not 16/4 on the pcie lanes, you want x8/x8 at least,
16/4 is going to virtually negate the benefits a second card should provide

It would take something like a 6850 or better for a large enough performance boost to consider crossfire. Also, Sapphire is my choice for AMD cards. They have great customer service, and have a low DOA ratio. XFX and Gigabyte are also good brands.

so its a waste of money to get 2 6770s vs 1 6850

im only asking because sapphire 6770s are on sale right now for $99.9/ $89.99 after rebate compared to 160+ for 6850s i thought 40 more bucks 2 vid cards what could go wrong also how much better is a 550ti vs 6770

well im still in the return range for my mobo what exactly am i looking for in a mobo...bc i check a few and most say PCI-E 2 x16, x4

Check that the lanes are both pcie x16 2.0 and that crossfire runs at x16/x16 or x8/x8, it will say in the specs, on phone atm so can't really tab browse. Sorry
