Each SP Slipstream specific to each machine?

Forum Windows XP : Configuration & Customization Each SP Slipstream specific to each machine?

If you make a slipstream for Windows XP SP2 or any Windows SP for that
matter, do you have to make a separate slipstream for each box? Is there a
hash specificity? For example if someone were travelling and encountered a
problem with SP2 on his friend's machine (who only has a Recovery Disk) and
wanted to do a repair/upgrade install or run SFC and it was pointed to the
CD could he use the SP2 slipstream he had brought with him that he made on
his own machine?

Thanks,

Chad Harris

Chad;
The slipstreamed CD is not specific to a particular computer.
However the usefulness when the original installation was a recovery
disk is questionable.
The disks should be the same type and recovery CDs are unique to the
specific OEM.
