when you run it on electricity? you mean, when you have it plugged into the AC Adapter it works fine... and when you use it on the battery alone, it gives you intermittent wireless Internet connection? If so....

Go into your Control Panel, then Power Options.... change the setting for the battery, it may make your battery life less. Also, go into Device Manager and Right click on the wireless card, under Network Adapters, and go to properties. On the last tab it should have a power option.... uncheck the box that says "turn off to save battery life".

Please be more informative in your problem description. Proof-read.

..

When you say change the settings for the battery in power options, what do you mean? Is "balanced" the correct setting or is "eco" the the correct setting. also, do any of the settings under either of those get changed after you make your selection?

As you said, "Please be more informative in your problem (solution) description. Proof-read."

You still didn't answer my questions.... nor did you follow my steps for Network Adapter properties.... please do so before responding.

I thought I was pretty informative given the little information you put about your issue.... seriously... Google is a great tool... did you try googling "balanced laptop power setting"? well this is what you get... pretty informative...

There is no "correct setting"... it's all in how you want your laptop to perform...

Did you go into the properties of the wireless network card itself and un-check the "Turn off to save power" box?

I purchased a new N router and established a new network. My laptop now stays connected to the internet when I am on battery power. I guess my Toshiba laptop was not compatible with the U-verse modem. Thanks for your help.
