Hello everyone! I'm usually a PC guy, but I've been looking at a certain, older Mac desktop recently: the PowerMac G5. I realize that the architecture is dead and that support for it has come to a screeching halt, but I've seen general usage videos on YouTube, and it seems to be holding it's own despite it's age. So I thought to myself: it would be nice to have a backup computer (to store all my files and mess around with older versions of OS X) that can do a few extra things as well. It's capable of handling SATA HDD's, so expandability wouldn't be a problem. The only problem for me is that whilst looking around for prices, some G5s are still a whopping $300! So my question for the forum users is first of all, are you in possession of a PM G5? And if you do, could you provide the specs? Also, at what price point would you sell it? This is all speculative at the moment, but input would be much appreciated!

I'm aware of hackintosh's, however, that's a poor choice for a day to day system. I've heard that they aren't very stable at all, and I actually quite like the look of the G5. But thanks for the input.
