Celeron g530 experience BF3

Hi guys

Im new to the forums my question is, i just about play BF3 on Low on my Acer i5 (dual core), gt550m laptop before it overheats and becomes unplayable, so what im asking is im building my younger brother a pc for university and occasional bf3 and was wondering the multi player performance of the CPU with a GTX560 Ti.

If you're asking about the possible performance of BF3 on a Celeron Dual Core G530 PC mated with a GTX560ti, I would say it would be a major improvement over the laptop. The main reason being the graphics card. The Celeron will bottle-neck the GTX560ti quite a bit, but should still provide good frame rates depending on the resolution you game at. However, having said that... I would suggest not going any lower in power than the Pentium G630

If possible, try to upgrade to the much much faster i3-2100. The hyper threaded dual core is a little beast at gaming.

Thanks clutchc for your response, the celeron is a place holder for a when the i5s are cheaper in a few months time.
