Dumb Question about installing a GTX 560Ti

Ok I have a really dumb question as I haven't built a PC in a very long time.

I have a GTX 560Ti and it has 2 x 6 pin slots for psu connectors on the card.

Do I need to use 2 6 pin connectors or can I just use one?

You need 2, but which exact psu are you using? The card should have come with a molex to pcie adapter.

I'm using a modular corsair 750w PSU. It comes with PCI-E connectors. They are configured as 6 and 2 split out for a total of 8.

Plug in two cables....the 6 pin part and leave the +2 hanging

Does it come with 2 six pins? Also did the card come with an adapter?

It did come with 2 6 pins.

So I think my options are to use the 2 6 pins it came with and connect them to one adapter that my PSU came with OR do what Jack said and run 2 seperate PCI-E connectors that came with my PSU and leave the +2 hanging.

Are both of these options viable?

have you solved this?, i notice mine will one have the light on, when i plug in the 6+2 in the 8 slot, and another 6 in the other 6 slot.. but my comp will not recognise it...

what power supply? Is there enough amperage?

it was the pci slot, i switched it and it is working
