Connecting HDMI cable to DVI terminal

Forum Graphics & Displays : Nvidia Connecting HDMI cable to DVI terminal

I am using a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphic card on my computer and my new Panasonic 32" TV screen as a monitor.
Currently, I am using the DVI output on the back of the card with a VGA cable, but I wonder how could I connect an HDMI cable to it for a better quality display. Is this feasible, with a DVI-HDMI adaptor on the card?

Thank you

Yes it is. Note, DVI and HDMI video signals are exactly the same and the only difference between them are that DVI doesn't carry sound, while HDMI does.

Thank you for your reply.
Currently the DVI signal from the graphic card is fed into the TV via a VGA cable connected to VGA port in the back of the TV.
Would I get a better display by feeding the DVI/HDMI signal into the HDMI port of the TV?

Thanks again

Yes, using DVI+HDMI will be better than DVI+VGA.
