Core 2 duo is a duo core or dual core.

Pentium dual core is also a dual core.

i3 is also a dual core.

Pentium dual is power hog (owned one of those it's like an oven)
C2D susposed much better then pentium dual core (not own one)

if u looking for dualcore proc, it's better to pick i3 sandy bridge ones
