i7 2600k @4.3 (at most)
16gb ram ddr3
64gb m4 ssd
gtx560 ti (not going to use more than a graphics card)
asus maximus iv gene-z/gen3
thermaltake frio/or mugen scythe2 (if if can find one)
not sure about the case, maybe corsair 500r (3 fans, not using the lights)
1tb 7200rpm
gonna add some more hdd if they get cheaper again , in the future a bigger ssd and the m4 will go on ssd caching

can you recommend me a decent psu for my needs? i prefer a modular one, the first one that i was thinking to use was the corsair hx650, i want a psu that is at least bronze and has good feedback. at least 4 stars.

Here are some good choices that fit your needs.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007657%20600014021%20600029977&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&CompareItemList=58%7C17-371-020%5E17-371-020-S01%2C17-151-093%5E17-151-093-TS%2C17-703-036%5E17-703-036-TS%2C17-256-064%5E17-256-064-Z07%2C17-139-032%5E17-139-032-TS

The Scythe Mugen 3 replaced the Mugen 2 and does a bit better in the tests I have seen.

You really can ignore newegg feedback for the most part. Especially when the most respected review site on the net ( jonnyguru ) recommends a power supply but it has 2 stars on newegg like the Corsair 550TX.

When ya think about it , what's the point of making the necessary cables modular ?

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/power-supplies-psu,8016.html

The best of both worlds is semi modular aka hybrid modular where the cables ya absolutely must use are hard wired and only the optional ones are modular. Not saying don't get modular, just saying it's foolish to rule out hybrid modular where the absolutely necessary cables are hard wired

If doing moderate or higher overlcocking, I'd get a 10.0 jonnyguru.com performance rated PSU such as the Corsair HX series, Antec SG series, Seasonic X series.

If not looking for too much on the OC, a 9.5 rated unit such as the Corsair TX series or XFX Pro will do.

If it was me, I'd buy an 850 just in case I changed my moind on the 2nd GFX card someday.

-If ya willing to pay an extra $100 to jump 0.1 Ghz from the 2500k to the 2700k, how do ya not go for the extra $40 for the same 0.1 Ghz for the 2700k ?

-I don't get the MicroATX MoBo thing in a full tower case. This is a MoBo for a full tower

-64 GB SSD will have ya struggling with space after 6 months unless you are an astute windows user, capable of managing WU uninstall files, e-mail default placements, program's "common files" which get dumped on C:\ temp files and the like. Strongly suggest a 120 GB model

-Scythe Mugen 3 or the new Hyper 612 PWM are available on newegg.

-Corsair 500R is an excellent case

Better read about that SSD cacheing

Finally, another feature of a Z68 chipset is known as SSD caching which is where it allows the use of a small (say 10 or 20 GB) Solid state hard drive to act as a cache for a larger ‘traditional’ hard disk. If you are already planning the use of a Solid State drive this feature is redundant.
