Please help me guys! CPU & MB upgrade

Hi all! i need a little help as im new with computers,

well, sadly, i got this PC

2 years ago, and i upgraded RAM to 8GB, and also added a ATI Radeon 6770 for gaming.

now i want to upgrade it a little more XD, i cant build a new PC from scratch due i dont have enough money, but i was thinking

with the current PC i have, if i upgrade the motherboard and processor to the newest ones, lets say 2011 socket or 1155, will the rest work fine?

If this is for gaming you really dont need 2011 and SB-E CPU its pointless overkill and with the cash for just that board and CPU you could actually build a respectable gaming rig on 1155 with IB or SB

but as they are 2011 socket i dont know if RAM, Harddrive, etc etc will work with them :( !!

The CPU and Motherboard which you wish to buy will definitely work with your RAM, HDD and other components. The PC which you have currently supports only DDR3 RAM which means that the RAM you have will work on the motherboard you are going to buy as the new motherboard also supports DDR3. As for the HDD, both the motherboards are on same SATA interface so the HDD you have will work with the new motherboard.

But the main problem is that you have a Mid-Tower Case and the motherboard you're going to buy needs a Full Tower Case to fit in.
