Hi all. I've recently bought BF3. I'm having issues with my fps. I got a msi ngtx550ti and i know its a low card but its an upgrade from a gts250. I'm only getting like 30fps in the game. My computer specs are as follows.

Time of this report: 11/23/2011, 16:07:50

Machine name: STEVE-PC
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.110408-1633)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: INTEL_
System Model: DH55TC__
BIOS: BIOS Date: 09/23/09 11:58:43 Ver: 08.00.10
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1gb
Resolution:1920x1080

I noticed i got a dual core i5 dual core since i cant afford a new mobo , would maybe upgrading my cpu to a quad core i5 760 or i7 860 help with issue?

Regards

Your processor is fine, I would overclock it tho to get more juice to your 550ti, and also give the 550ti an overclock.
What settings are you running on BF3?
Have you done a clean install of the latest drivers from Nvidia?

Yes i' installed the latest drivers. booting into safe mode , uninstalling them and booting back to normal and installing the new 1's. How would i go about overclocking my gpu without blowing it up?

To overclock your gpu , download and install MSI Afterburner, its free and easy to use. But do your overclock in small increments , best to read up on how to do it first ok.
Your cpu will need the overclock more, so look into that first.
In BF3 make sure AA and motion blur is turned off, also try turning off AO aswell and see if your fps increases.
