Odd message in message center

The model name of your Atheros Valkyrie BootROM is Atheros Bluetooth device. This device is distributed by many different computer manufacturers.


My system is fine, no errors or problems. I occasioanlly look in message center and saw this. Is it because I never loaded bluetooth drivers because I never planned on using any bluetooth functionality?

Motherboard: Asus Gen3 pro board (love it!)
i5-2500 (SB until IB is released and giving it time)
Main HDD ie. W7 and drivers: Samsung 830 SSD 120GB (love it)
Velociraptor 330GB: Steam, Steam games, games.

Sounds like a driver that loaded with your other MB drivers from the disc. Maybe you can remove it using control panel.

Yepp, scout, that's my board....did I mention I love it Do I need to download it? Have no need for blluetooth and system is running perfectly.

If you don't need it then disable it in the BIOS.
