Hey guys, just picked up a gtx 670 and I am impressed with almost everything about it. I just wonder if I may be bottlenecking it somewhat. Specs are as follows

AMD Phenom II x4 945 @ 3.0ghz
MSI 790fx-gd70 mobo
EVGA GTX 670 FTW edition
8 gbs (dual channel 4gb kit) Corsair dominator 1600 ddr3

I have been focusing on learning the in's and out's of the 670 and have found some minor inconsistencies that I don't know whether to attribute to the gpu drivers being new and the whole new card thing, or something of a bottleneck with my cpu.

The easy way to catch a cpu bottleneck by seeing if cpu hits 100% load during gameplay has not satisfied me as the games I have played have not stressed my cpu. I just wonder if upgrading to a new gen cpu with pci3.0 support (mobo obviously upgraded too) would yield some better results.

I just spent more money than I care to disclose on my recent build (case, this graphics card, and some ssd nonsense) to upgrade right away, but some opinions would be appreciated.

Then you're not bottlenecking. In other games you might encounter a slight bottleneck though.
