Core clock vs memory clock

Can someone explain what the difference between these things is. What do each of them effect and can you tell me which one is used when mining your gpu for bitcoins? Thanks for the help guys!

Same as the difference between Memory speed and CPU speed in your computer, you can't compare the two. One is for the RAM on the card, the other one is the processor speed. Both speeds are relevant to any processing done by the card. Along with the archetecture of the card, which is actually more important. A slower speed memory in a good card is better than the other way around.
