I don't know much about memory but if I'm right the 1600 is the speed as it says on Newegg. I assumed 1600mhz
I have 2 sets of dual channel in a

CPUz shows all my ram at 800mhz.
I can only think wtf.

Any ideas as to why?

Also, when I tried to overclock the ram to 1866 the system wouldn't boot at all.

DDR ram. The speed shows 800 MHZ, but you get 1600 M transfers / second. What it's showing is, I think, the clock rate.

The second is easier: the ram doesn't work at that speed. You might try raising the voltage a tiny bit at a time, but this is not my field. I underclock for quiet systems.
