I'm using a AMD Phenom Quad Core processor, with a GTX 560 graphics card to play Battlefield Bad Company 2,nothing OC'd. I play Medium or High settings and I get somewhere between 45-70 frames according to Fraps. I want to know why my frames can randomly drop to 45 and then go all the way up to 90. I thought that a GTX 560 would be enough to play Bad Company 2 on all High settings and have stable frames,am I doing something wrong?

Also depending on the scene of the game like for example, if you look at the sky the game will run at a much higher frame per second, however if you get loads of on screen explosions with high level of activity then the graphic card has to process everything thus dropping ur rate of frame.

I understand that. Sometimes my frames will drop all the way down to zero, then instantly rise up to about 70-80 when there is no explosions or action happening at all.

Does anyone know what type of frames I should be getting?
