Athlon ii x3 455 Overclocking Help

I've just recently got all of my components working
"Asrock 970 extreme3
Athlon ii x3 455
500 GB Western Digital hard drive
550 diaboltek psu
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit "
and everytime i exit Asrocks UEFI bios with UCC on ( thats supposed to unlock it to a Phenom x4 b55 ) it freezes on " Starting Windows "

and when i take the option off when i restart the computer. my windows loads and i'm able to use it like normal.
And i'm sure my fourth core is actually there cause i tested the temps when it showed in bios before i set up the computer 2 days ago.

If you haven't already guessed i'm a beginner at all of this and i please need a thorough answer.

Apparently the 4th core is bad and it is therefore not possible to unlock your CPU, like so many other X3's.

I have the exact same motherboard and cpu and I'm not having any issues with the UCC feature
That's strange

You could give it a bit more voltage but if its not even getting into windows its unlikely to be 100% stable.
